History of Dispur
The northern parts of India hold a true and respectful history. The Capital of Assam, Dispur City became the leading city in the year 1973 and since has had a strong historic background. Through the first 1000+ years the city of Dispur was just a normal, small village in the scheme of things for Assam.
The British began to take control of Assam’s 27 districts and began to run the then Capital, Shillong. With Britain controlling the Assam, industrial changes began to take place, such as the breakthrough uses of the natural resources of oil, tea and iron.
The British started educating the people of Dispur City and they developed the first central government that Assam ever had. By the 1900’s, Dispur City and Assam as a whole, began to pull away from the British control and took full responsibility for the running and the economy of the country.
