Bilaspur is known as the “Dhaan Ka Katora”, which means Rice Bowl in Hindi, of the chhattisgarh region in the Bilaspur District, India. Bilaspur is situated on the banks of the Arpa River which originates from the high hills of the Maikal Range of central India.

The Bilaspur city is approximately 400 years old and the name “Bilaspur” has been originated from the Fisher-woman named “Bilasa”. Over the years Bilaspur has developed a lot, despite several natural calamities.
